Book Reviews
of Calling Forth the Remnant

I came across this book shortly after the Lord began to give me a revelation of the Cross and I found the book to be a blessing to my life because it gave me clear understanding of God’s eternal plan for his people. The scriptures states in Matthew Chapter 7:13-14 "Enter through the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the road is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who go through it. How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and few find it.” This book shows us how one must walk if he/she is to enter into the narrow gate and how through the knowledge of good and evil many are walking through the wide gate. The only way the believer can walk through the narrow gate is through a daily surrender of one’s self, Calling Forth the Remnant shows us God’s will for his children to learn to depend on him and surrender one’s self. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking to understand the origin of man and how his condition is a result of not receiving from the tree of life but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The book also helped me to understand that law was not given to God’s people but for one reason that is to bring them to Christ. I have come to understand why the “church” as we know it is in a fallen condition is because of the deadly error, apostasy, and trust in flesh. As we approach the end of this age we can only look to Christ and Him crucified to set us free from the flesh (self) which has come as result of man taking from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
