and we have the utmost respect for them. Ian and Lynne are selfless, and this can be seen in the way they forsook the comforts of this life and threw themselves wholeheartedly into caring for these very needy babies in Kenya. They approached Into All the World in 2005 to see where they could serve. They were set up with Bishop Joseph Mophat Kilioba and the
Pentecostal Evangelical Fellowship of Africa to build the home in western Kenya.
Ian had felt called to do something to help the children of Africa during a short-term missions trip to Zambia in 2004. When Ian and Lynne returned from that trip they sold their house and used the equity to build and sell the first “fund raiser house”. In January of 2006 they went to western Kenya, started the first home and set the infrastructure in place.
As of August 2008 Ian is in Canada building the 3rd “fund raiser house” and Lynne is in Bukura running the home which now has 18 babies ranging in age from 2 weeks to 28 months.
The only home Ian and Lynne now have is one storey of the home in Bukura. When they return to Canada for family visits and fund-raising they stay with friends.
These pages on Ekklesia 4 Him are dedicated to promoting the work of Ian and Lynne, who with their staff will
raise these little ones to know Jesus.
This photograph is of Lynne with the first two babies, Isaac and Nathan. Go to this page to see more photos of the precious little ones they have rescued and begun caring for in the Rehema Home for Children.
