Nuggets of Truth

"But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat: for in the day that you
eat of it you shall surely die.
" (Genesis 2:17)

Dear Friend,

The Lord continues to bring to our attention the wonderful writings from centuries ago.  One such writing is Babylon The Great by Isaac Penington.  A link to the PDF of Penington's e-book can be found at the News Corner.

We also have a printable PDF of my book, Calling Forth the Remnant.  It contains only the index, Introduction and all 26 chapters.  It is not as professional as the one my editor made for the publisher, but has the full book without all the 'extras' required by the publisher.

Speaking of my book, the Lord strongly impressed upon me that I should make the chapter on "tithing" available as a single article.  For anyone unfamiliar with it, we include an introduction here in this issue of Nuggets of Truth.

May the Lord reveal to you the depths of the truths He has prepared for you.

Your servant in pursuit of truth,
Stella Paterson

Tithing - Old or New Covenant?
Chapter 19 - Calling Forth the Remnant
By Way of the Cross

by Stella Paterson

What you are now about to read may make a lot of people very angry, so let me ask this question: Is tradition of greater importance than the Truth which came through Jesus? "For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ." (John 1:17 NKJV) Many people in the Church today are enslaved to the "law" that one MUST tithe to the local church in order to please God, to avoid being cursed, and to finance the spreading of the Gospel. This bondage has spread its suffocating tentacles throughout the institution which man considers "The Body of Christ."

Satan, the deceiver, has achieved his greatest dream, but to the deceived church, it is an undetected nightmare from hell itself. Satan has masterminded the ultimate deception, and used it to draw the Church into his deadly clutches. He has relied on the western world's god of money to hold the attention of the large and prosperous churches. Tithing is not a new idea, but over a period of more than one hundred fifty years, it has become increasingly popular among those who need to increase the church income. What better way to fill that "need" than to obligate people and establish a budget, knowing there will be a definite level of income? The admonition to tithe causes people to believe this is a commandment from God.

In reality, the church is on "life support." . . . [to full chapter]
